Mr. Brant’s grasp of international laws and tax issues across borders has earned him a client base around the world. He speaks Spanish and has lectured on various U.S. and international tax topics to groups in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Brant focuses his international practice on pre-immigration tax planning for high net worth foreign individuals, including structuring their investments in U.S. real property, planning for U.S. estate and gift tax considerations for foreign investors and optimizing cross-border solutions.
He is the leader of the firm’s investment banking initiative and has extensive experience developing and funding complex real estate projects.
Mr. Brant, a native of Miami, is qualified as an expert in U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court and South Florida circuit courts. He occasionally mediates and arbitrates complex financial cases. He has also been appointed receiver in various matters.
